The "simple HV filter" from the first example can be significantly improved by appropriate dimensioning and a few additional components.

With additional costs of about 2 euros, the noise emission at the artificial network can be reduced by 20 to 30 dB - with otherwise identical boundary conditions.

For a custom-made adaptation, information on the maximum size of the Y-capacitors is needed, as well as approximate models or characterizations of the

DC link capacitor and the electrical machine, and the typical parameters of the switches.


All filter components will remain within their specified operating capacity over the entire operating range.
